Virtual CD will not install/start.

I am receiving the following notice whenever I try to install VC10: The following files did not register or unregister:
1. C:\Program Files\Virtual CD v10\System\vc10api.dll
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.

I have repeatedly tried deleting and reinstalling the program but I receive the notice regardless. I am using Windows 10 Pro. This is the first time I have run across this error. Help!

Hello,

the Registration of the vc10api.dll is one of the last steps during the Installation. If you didn't get any additional errors than your system should work normally. This DLL is only necessary if you plan to use scripts.
You can also try to register the DLL manually. Please start a cmd prompt with administrative rights and give in the following command:
regsvr32 C:\Program Files\Virtual CD v10\System\vc10api.dll
