Differences Between Windows Versions

Virtual CD v10 supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 in all 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Each new Windows version introduces features, such as the new User Account Control (UAC) in Windows Vista, that can affect the Virtual CD program.

Support for the new visual style. A number of changes (new icons, new file dialogs, etc.) have been made in Windows Vista and later versions. These new elements are not available in earlier Windows versions.
Expanded functions for grouping; e.g., in the CD Control Center.
Adaptation to the UAC. When using Windows Vista and later, some settings can be modified only by a user with administrative rights. Thus some Virtual CD programs—depending on your operating system settings—may now require confirmation of the administrator mode. Earlier versions are not affected.
