Virtual CD cannot be uninstalled neither over Add/Remove Software nor with the uninstaller.
This points to a general problem with InstallShield which has nothing to do with Virtual CD.
You can remove Virtual CD manually as follows:
Kill the tasks VC10Play.exe und VC10Tray.exe via Taskmanager.
Deinstall the Virtual CD driver "H+H Virtual CD 10 SCSI Controller" under "SCSI- and RAID-Controller" in the Device Manager.
For 64-Bit Windows only: Activate in View the option "Show hidden devices": Deinstall the Virtual CD v10 Bus Enumerator
Deinstall the Virtual CD Service: Start -> Run "C:\Program Files\Virtual CD v10\System\VC10SecS.exe" /u (adapt the path if needed).
Remove the Virtual CD v10 autostart entry: Start -> Run: "regedit", delete the string "VC10Player" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
Furthermore please remove the following registry entries:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{10C51313-A308-4B40-90E3-B368D5882660} (This key varies may be different!)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\H+H Software GmbH\Virtual CD 10
For 64-Bit Windows only: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VC10SecS
Search for other VC10* entries (e.g. vc10write, vc10api, vc10extse.dll etc.) and delete - if you're not sure if you should not delete an entry, better leave it as it is.
This also pertains to earlier versions of Virtual CD incl. v6. Please be aware that the key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall is always different.
For 64-Bit Windows only:
Rename the files C:\Program Files\Virtual CD v10\System\vc10extse.dll and C:\Program Files\Virtual CD v10\System\vc10extse64.dll
Restart the system
Delete the directory C:\Program Files\Virtual CD v10 löschen.
