Although users with admin rights can work with Virtual CD, normal users can't. This affects NT-based systems (Windows NT4/2000/XP/VistaWindows 7) only.
CAUSE:
The Virtual CD service (Virtual CD v3) or Virtual CD Security Service (Virtual CD v4 and higher) doesn't run or is not installed.
SOLUTION:
Re-install the required service by entering the following command at the DOS prompt or under "Start -> Run":
NOTE:
Please be aware that you need administrative rights to install a service!
INFORMATION:
Under NT-based systems the user has to have writing rights on the drive in order to send SCSI-commands. (The problem is Virtual CD specific, since thereby SCSI commands are used. Normally, a special driver or ASPI resp. SPTI is used for a physical CD drive.) The service sets the rights so that as well "normal" users can work with Virtual CD.
